Cornwall Chamber of Commerce - Rebrand & Website design

The Brief

The Cornwall Chamber of Commerce required a complete rebrand and new website to reposition the organisation as a modern, forward-thinking membership body rather than a traditional networking group. The new identity needed to reflect Cornwall’s creative and independent spirit, strengthen its connection to the British Chambers of Commerce, and appeal to a wider audience, including younger and more innovative businesses.

The Solution

I developed a new brand identity and designed a fully responsive website, working in collaboration with PB+J Web Design who carried out the project management & development.

The visual identity incorporated elements of the British Chambers of Commerce logo to maintain national recognition while creating something distinctly Cornish, modern and confident. A bold colour palette and accessible, versatile typography helped move the organisation away from traditional corporate styling towards a more dynamic and contemporary look.

The website was designed in Figma and includes over 40 pages, structured to clearly present membership benefits, business resources, events, news and insight articles. Accessibility and ease of navigation were key considerations, with the site built to WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards.

To support the launch of the new brand, I also created a suite of branded assets including newsletter templates, email signatures, social media graphics, event imagery, a members’ pack and a simple logo animation featuring the Cornish Chough.

On-going Support

Following the website launch, the Cornwall Chamber has continued to work with me to support their evolving design needs.

This has included creating exhibition banners, InDesign reports, Word report templates, social media templates in Canva, campaign toolkits and updated members’ packs, helping the organisation maintain a consistent and professional visual presence across both print and digital platforms.

Achievements & Feedback

The CEO of Cornwall Chamber praised the new brand identity for capturing the brief and vision of the organisation.

The British Chambers of Commerce also provided exceptional feedback, recognising the adaptation of their national logo into a regional identity as the best they had seen.

The rebrand and new website successfully modernised the Chamber’s image and helped position it as a bold, contemporary and nationally connected organisation for Cornwall’s business community.
